Does anyone remember the “Illustrated Wildlife Treasury” from the late 70’s, early 80’s? Every month you would get a pack of animal fact cards in the mail and you got this nifty green, plastic carrying case that had alphabetical dividers in it so that you could organize your cards as they came in. I had this when I was younger and I LOVED IT!!! I have been on the hunt for it for my kids, cause they do not make anything like this now - god forbid our kids have something useful that they could learn from.
I had found a perfect set on Ebay, but like an idiot I missed the bid. There have been a couple listed since, but they were not very good sets. They only had like 200 cards out of over a possible 500. I did find a great site where someone does remember the set, which is where I got the above picture. He takes a different card and showcases it along with a nice little picture of his own to compliment the card…pretty funny.
On another note, I thought I would share this video that cracked me up. I shared it on MySpace, but lots of you do not have MySpace sites, so I thought I would share it here too - your welcome!
CHAD VADER: Day Shift Manager
Life is hard for Chad Vader, the younger, less charismatic brother
of Darth Vader, who is the day shift manager of a grocery store.
Now wasn’t that funny? There are other episodes (2 through 4) that can be found on YouTube. Enjoy!
