Every year in Virginia Beach, the city spends god knows how much money lighting up the oceanfront for the Holiday season. Every light post at the beach has nautical themed lights hanging on them and boardwalk is decked out for the annual “Holiday Lights at the Beach!” There are countless, huge light displays on either side of the boardwalk, from 1st Street all the way to 30th Street and they open up the boardwalk for everyone to drive their cars on. They give each car a Christmas CD or tape to listen to while driving and they sell hot chocolate and cookies at the beginning. It is a nice way to get into the Christmas spirit. Dena and I took the kids for the opening weekend on Sunday night. I took a few pictures to share with you. Enjoy.
