Today’s Ten on Tuesday is a selection of movies that I think are good for Halloween and some of Kaiden’s favorite Halloween movies.
01. It’s The Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown
A classic! I am pretty sure that there is a law written somewhere stating that it is mandatory to watch this every single Halloween.
02. The Nightmare Before Christmas
I have loved this movie since it came out and Kaiden loves it too. We have the soundtrack on my ipod and we listen to it in the car. I am pretty sure that Kaiden knows ALL the words to ALL the songs.
03. The Shining
One of the freakiest movies EVAH! Todd and I stayed at a place in Washington DC once and the hallways looked exactly like the hallways from the hotel in the movie. Everytime we walked out the door he kept saying REDRUM, REDRUM!
04. Hocus Pocus
This really was a cute Halloween movie. Kaiden loves it and Bette Midler’s lips crack me up the whole time.
05. The Grudge
This movie freaked me the hell out! It didn’t help that for two weeks after seeing it, everytime the lights were turned off, Todd would make that creepy ass sound that you heard throughout the whole movie.
06. The Little Vampire
We saw this one for the first time this year and Kaiden REALLY liked it. So if you have little ones and need a good Halloween movie, this is a good pick!
07. The Ring
This is another one that freaked me out. It seemed like it had been a long time since any good thriilers had come out, then a bunch of pretty good ones all came out around the same time, and this was one of them.
08. Corpse Bride
Kaiden really likes this one too (of course I had to let her know what a Corpse was). Tim Burton is really great and so are his movies.
09. The Exorcism of Emily Rose
This was good for making you jump every five minutes - and all in all was a pretty good horror flick! Of course, it didn’t hurt to get ready to go to bed after seeing the movie and find a nice present waiting for you!
10. Casper
Everyone love Casper the Friendly Ghost and Kaiden highly recommends this movie for a Halloween treat!
