Twenty Dollars for Nothing

Ashton and I visited his second home today due to yet another unbreakable fever. Once again we paid the $20 copay just to be told it is a viral infection and to keep doing what we are doing. “Some kids are just more feverish than others” - Buh-Bye!

Poor Ashton. :( I've spent my share of time and money in the same places. They are ALL the same. It's bullshit.
Posted by some girl on 2005-08-24 18:44:55 I HATE that! What's worse is when you call and talk to a nurse ahead of time to see if you indeed have to bring him in. She says, "yes." You find sitters for the other kids (after all, you don't want to bring the healthy ones into the pediatric petri dish), fork over the $20 copay, wait FOREVER in the office as every other kids sneezes or farts in your general direction, only to go through what can only be explained as the dimwhit diagnosis. ("I'm sorry, but it's a viral infection and there's not a damn thing you can do about it.")
