Aloha Friday-11/18/05

Aloha Friday is brought to you by the letter A and by Snarky!

When you go grocery shopping, do you make a list?
No.  I have always wanted to be a list maker, but I never have been.  I do not plan meals, shit, I rarely cook!  I do a big grocery run on Sundays and I probably stop at the store two to three times a week.  If I started making a list for Sunday’s trip, I probably would not have to go during the week.

Have you Googled old friends?
No, but I do have a “MySpace” where I have connected with a lot of old friends and I have gone onto Classmates.com and found some old friends.

Play the Boo-Yay game. Tell us about a “boo” and a “yay” from the past week.

Boo:
I had to take both my kids to get flu shots, by myself.  I was really dreading this all week, because I knew I would have to deal with getting two crying kids loaded into the car by myself.

Yay:
Ashton is getting his big boy bed this week!!!  I went to the furniture and found him a cozy, full size, pillowtop Kingsdown bed - because all 19 month old’s should sleep that comfortably (actually I know I will have to lay with him and I want to be comfortable)!

How about you?

The Downward Spiral

I found this a while ago at one of the many weird websites that I frequent.  It is pretty interesting, and very sad.

“Life can be rough for some people. Even for a pretty girl in New York City. In fact, life’s roughness can sometimes be documented visually through the mugshots in your criminal arrest record.”

Superstar Product Reviews

I thought I would take the time today, and from time to time in the future to let all my blogging friends and family know about some products that I have purchased, used and now swear by.

You might be sitting around wondering, “Damn, how am I going to get that BBQ sauce stain out of my last un-holey Hanes white t-shirt and if that kid does not stop coughing, I am going to lose my mind.”  Well look no further, because I have the answers for you!!!

Here are some wonderful products you should know about:

01. Delsym Cough Syrup
This cough syrup was once only available through prescription, but now is on the pharmacy shelves for our using pleasure.  I started using this cough syrup about two years ago upon recommendation from Kaiden’s pediatrician and it is by far the best cough syrup on the market.  You can get it for both kids and adults and it goes a long way!  Now keep in mind that this is only for coughing, you will need additional drugs for fever and stuffy nose.  Try it!

02. Spray & Wash Dual Power Stain Remover
“Its unique technology combines 2 different stain fighters in 1 amazing product! A powerful pre-treater and an oxi stain remover activate when mixed and start to break down and lift stains—right in front of your eyes!”
This really works people!  Ashton came home from daycare a couple days ago looking like he dove into a jelly jar.  He was covered from head to toe in grape jelly and was wearing a brand new all white expensive quicksilver shirt.  I blasted it with the Spray & Wash and did not wash it for three days and ALL the stains came out!  This product is a clothes saver and a must have in the laundry room!

03. Gaviscon Tablets
When I was pregnant with Ashton, I had the worst heartburn 24/7.  At night the heartburn would turn into Reflux.  It is the most horrible thing to deal with and regular antacids like Tums and Mylanta did not help.  Gaviscon tablets create a foam barrier when chewed and stop Reflux almost instantly.  They saved my life while I was pregnant.  It took a minute to get used to the consistency of the tablets, but it was so worth it to stop the Reflux.

So there you have it – the Superstar Product Review.  If you have some secrets that you would like to share, please, by all means, let me know!
