Interview Questions

Peggy over at Bella Mommy sent me some interview questions to answer, so here are my answers to her VERY important questions.

  1. Do you ever [seriously] think of cutting off a huge amount of your hair or perhaps changing the color, adding bangs, or getting a perm? NO. I do not think that I could ever go with a short hairstyle. I do however, sometimes cut long layers into it, or darken it up a bit underneath with a temporary coloring - but never anything permanent. I am a total wuss when it comes to my hair. My best friend Nadine is in Hair/Beauty school right now and she begs me all the time to be her guinea pig. The first time I let her cut my hair she cut WAY to much off and then when I told her she effed up, she gave some lame term they use in school - “Here at the Rudy & Kelly Academy of Hair ( a Paul Mitchell Partner School), we do not make mistakes - we make DISCOVERIES! - to which my reply was that she was about to “discover” my foot up her ass!!! Thank god I love her.
  2. What would you buy if you won the lottery and more importantly, what would you buy me? I would pay off the rest of my bills, pay up my kids college tuition, locking in today’s rates through the VA College Savings Program and buy a nice house on the beach. Then I would pay off all my family’s and good friend’s bills and help them with whatever they needed. I would buy you a ticket out of Florida to the destination of your choice and give you enough money to get started there.
  3. Your sister recently moved to Florida, ever think of relocating? I miss my sister to pieces!!! But, I DO NOT like Florida. It is nice to visit, but not to live. I was born there and all my dad’s side of the family lives there and are all FSU alumni, so I can visit whenever I want, but it is far to hot and humid for me, the water bugs are DISGUSTING and Hurricane season has not been to nice to Florida. But there are other places I would consider, although I really kind of like it here in Virginia Beach - we are within a couple hours of everything - major historical sites, mountains and skiing, the beach - everything.
  4. Have you ever met someone you’ve met on the internet in person? Yes. And there are several people that I talk to on a semi-regular basis on the telephone.
  5. Faith really wants a little sister. How about Kaiden? Can I have her? Where do you want me to send her and when?

And I am supposed to be nice and keep the game going.  So if you are interested in playing follow these instructions:

  1. Leave me a comment saying, “Interview me.”
  2. I will respond by asking you five questions. I get to pick the questions and it may take me a couple days to get them to you, cause I am busy Yo!
  3. You will update your weblog with the answers to the questions.
  4. You will include this explanation and an offer to interview someone else in the same post.
  5. When others comment asking to be interviewed, you will ask them five questions.

Email Sent to Pat Brown

Pat Brown is a nationally known criminal profiler that likes to frequent Nancy Grace and other news outlets.  She was on Fox News last night to be questioned about the profile of the man that opened fire at Virginia Tech yesterday and instead of answering questions, she used her 5 minutes to very loudly instruct parents to sue VA Tech, completely overshadowing the Fox News correspondent.  It totally pissed me off - enough for me to send her a nasty email.

I happened to be listening to Fox News via XM Radio on my way home from work last night and caught a segment where they had you on as a guest speaker so that they could question you from a criminal profiler’s point of view, unfortunately that point was not conveyed by you.  You were too busy becoming enraged with Virginia Tech and actually begging the parents of the students to sue the institution for neglect.  It was not even eight hours after the horrific event and you were already telling parents to sue – not sending out any type of condolence, just more negative chatter and hate.  Wasn’t there enough of that already in place?

For such a bright, educated woman, you came off sounding pretty inconsiderate and insensitive.  Virginia Tech is a wonderful school, a school that I could only hope that my children attend when the time comes.  Did you stop at any point and put yourself in anyone else’s shoes, like the staff at Tech, or any of the police that were handling the case?  We are ALL just human and I am sure that the people involved did what they felt was the best at the current time.  It is a sad, sad event that took place and my heart bleeds for the families that lost loved ones during the shootings – but instigating more anger and hate is NOT EVER an answer.

Shame on you for adding to what is already a “lawsuit happy” America and for not stopping for five seconds and offering your condolences.

Speechless!

Virginia can’t seem to stay out of the National news lately.  This is just so sad and confusing.  I am not sure why there was a chance for the second shooting spree?  I am know that more details will be made available later, but it is so so sad.

BLACKSBURG, Va. - A gunman opened fire in a dorm and classroom at Virginia Tech on Monday, killing 21 people in the deadliest campus shooting in U.S. history. The gunman also was killed.

“Today the university was struck with a tragedy that we consider of monumental proportions,” said Virginia Tech president Charles Steger. “The university is shocked and indeed horrified.”

The university reported shootings at opposite sides of the 2,600-acre campus, beginning at about 7:15 a.m. at West Ambler Johnston, a co-ed residence hall that houses 895 people, and continuing about two hours later at Norris Hall, an engineering building.  (more)

They are saying that it was a guy looking for his girlfriend and that he was lining people up and asking them if they knew where she was and if they did not know, he shot them.  I don’t know how much of that is true.
