Vacation Gift Giving 101
... or what NOT to buy someone when you are on vacation. My dad was in Florida all last week and when he got home yesterday, in the middle of our Mother’s Day celebration, he broke out the gifts that he got everyone while he was out of town. I knew it would be some type of airport type gift, but I had no idea that he would have put so much extra thought and effort into mine.
Behold, the gorgeous, faux silver, “Real Metal” skull and hatchet necklace:
Seriously, I am not kidding… that is what he bought for me. I was speechless to say the least. Are you jealous? You should be! What glorious black-tie event should I wear it to first? Oh the possibilities!

Mother’s Day 2008
Happy Mother’s Day! I relaxed most of the day today in my pajamas… it was nice. Todd and the kids got me some really pretty flowers and some really sweet cards. Kaiden has hugged me about 32 million times and told me “Happy Mother’s Day” each time and Ashton keeps grabbing stuff from around the house and handing it to me telling me “It’s for you mom, you know, for Mudder’s Day!” - then I have to put it all away - but that is work I do not mind. Hope everyone had a good Mother’s Day.
