I thought that I would share some photos from our eventful 4th of July weekend.  I don’t have much else to talk about today….EXCEPT, did you hear about Angelina Jolie adopting the orphaned Ethiopian baby girl?  Hmmmm, funny, Brad Pitt just did his Primetime Live interview from Africa…I wonder if that coincides with the date that the adoption process started?  Sounds fishy to me!  Oh well, onto the photos (please excuse all the tattoos, we are hoodlums)...

Okay, the pants I am wearing today have a zipper that has a mind of its own.  I am usually pretty good about checking it periodically to make sure it is still behaving, but with me being home with Ashton all last week, I have been swamped this morning.

Well, low and behold, I finally had a chance to pee and I was able to do so a bit quicker, since I did not need to take the extra time to unzip!  DAMN, I HATE WHEN SHIT LIKE THAT HAPPENS!

So you sit there on the ole’ potty thinking, “Shit, how long have I been walking around with my grey and yellow bumble bee underwear hanging out?” and “Who has not bothered to tell me?”  I have taken a poll of the employees around the office and they all swear they had not noticed and would have proceeded to laugh and point if they had.  I am hoping that is the case!  Now, back to work!

Just spoke to the Carpet Cleaning company, and they are very sorry about the whole “cash vs. check” incident and assured me that they do take checks-they will be handling that situation.  They will also be out next Saturday Morning, bright and early to re-clean my carpets at no charge.

Kaiden and Ashton started their new school today.  They did pretty well.  Kaiden had Dena’s son Ethan to smooth over the transition and Ashton started playing right away and I was able to sneak out without him realizing it.  They have webcams that you can see them, but I have not gotten the damn password yet.  Dena has it, but she opted to save the sign-in and password in her computer. So she can see them, but cannot remember the info so that I can log in.  I keep getting emails like this every 10 minutes:

Well, we paid to have all of the carpets cleaned yesterday, and I have to say I was not too happy.  When the guy was done cleaning the carpets, I go to write him a check (even after the price is more than what was quoted to me on the phone by the office) and he pulls this one:

Carpet Cleaner Man: “Ooh, I am sorry, I need you to pay cash for today’s services.”

Me: “What, are you serious?  I have used this company about a hundred times and paid by check every time?”

Carpet Cleaner Man: “Yeah, well she should have told you over the phone, everyone who works on 4th of July Weekend, gets to keep (3) of their jobs as a bonus, so that’s why we need the payment to be cash.”

Me: “Well I was never told that on the phone.  Why wouldn’t she have told me that?”

Carpet Cleaner Man: “I am sorry maam, I am not sure, would it be possible for you to run to an ATM?”

WTF?  Does this guy think I am an idiot?  I know damn well he is lying and that he is going to write on my ticket that I cancelled the cleaning and pocket that money.  So fine, Todd ran to the ATM just to get this guy out of the house.  But here we are this morning and the stains are all coming back as you can see here:
