TWO DAYS... TWO DAYS before the school year begins, my father... the amazing POP POP, decides to take the kids to Busch Gardens for a day of fun and brings my son home with a Mike Tyson face tattoo.  REALLY?  "Dad, why would you let him get that on his face?" "Because he wanted it Mist!"  AWESOME!!!  THIS is why my kids LOVE their POP POP more than anything... because he NEVER says no.

With thirty minutes left in tryouts last night for the P.A. Middle School team, Kaiden went to save a goal and felt her hand bend wrong. She came off the field crying with the coach and said "It is broken mom, I know it." So we packed up everything, grabbed some ice from the trainer that was out on the fields and headed to the closest Patient First Doc-In-The-Box to get an x-ray.

X-Ray confirmed that she had once again fractured her left wrist.  AWESOME. We got her all splinted up and checked out. When we got in the car, Kaiden asked me to drive her back to the tryout to ask the coach if she is able to get cast on in time, can she continue trying out and he said yes, if she makes it through cuts. She came back to the car and asked me to take her to Rush's team practice, where she proceeded to practice and talk with the coach until well after 9pm.

We spent the morning begging the Orthopedic Doctor to squeeze her in and get her casted so that she could keep going. She chose yellow this time. We are running out of colors to choose from. We left the doctor's office and drove by the school to see if cuts had been posted. They had. He cut her. She was so upset. She made sure to go talk to him after breaking it, we busted our asses to get the cast on and he cut her. There are no words for how I feel about this guy. Kaiden plays club soccer at the top level, 5 days a week, she plays on the District Olympic Development team, she trains with Virginia Wesleyan soccer teams during the week, attends camps and conditions all the time and this guy could not let her through the first cut after breaking a wrist trying out for him. Amazing. Pissed does not even begin to describe my feelings right now.

Todd, my brother Billy and Nadine's husband Kevin were all in a co-worker's wedding this past weekend.  It was a very small, backyard wedding for a guy that has worked for my husband for a very, very long time.  These are a few of my favorite photos from Sunday:

This photo of Todd standing on his tippy toes, so he does not look short next to Kevin in a photo. He did not think I would be behind him ready to take a photo, then spend the rest of the day joking him and laughing. That's love.

This one of my brother and Kaiden. Kaiden can NEVER just take a damn photo. She ALWAYS has to make her face look ugly, and if Billy is in the photo with her, he ALWAYS makes his face match hers. It's one of his best qualities as an Uncle.

Todd took Kaiden on a date night to see Miranda Lambert last night, which Kaiden was so excited about, and I was actually extremely impressed with at first. Until the truth came out. Todd has made it VERY clear for a long time that Miranda Lambert IS his hall pass (term used for someone so good looking, your significant other can't keep you from them; a free pass; usually used for celebrities). Miranda Lambert also happens to be my best friend Nadine's husband's hall pass. So Todd and Kevin decided they were both going to see her concert. But wait... that would look weird... two 40 year old men at a Miranda Lambert concert together.  Hmmm... what ever could they do?

Well, they could both take their daughters.  GREAT PLAN. Now, instead of looking like two dudes at a concert together, they look like two noble, amazing single fathers... taking their daughters, whom they live for, to a concert. YES... that IS A GREAT PLAN. In fact, such a good plan that they decided to upgrade from lawn tickets to seats - even closer to the woman that they both love, who has no clue these two morons exist. Who knows, Miranda may even look out into the crowd, see these AMAZING FATHERS and decide to leave her husband Blake Shelton for these two heroic, examples of single fatherhood.

SUCH.A.GREAT.PLAN.

Unfortnately, both Todd and Kevin had to come home to their lives after the concert and continue on with their marriages to Nadine and I. On a good note, Kaiden and Brianna had a really good time at the concert! So good for the girls... at least someone got what they wanted out of the evening!

Have you guys heard of the new drug out there called the shrooms? They are bad... probably worse than crack and meth. I can't believe they keep coming up with new drugs to hurt people.

NO... we have not heard of "the shrooms." They sound horrible. Darn those thugs and their NEW DRUGS!
