• I am still coughing and hacking like a 65 year old woman with a severe case of emphysema.  I am happy to no longer be running a fever and be all achy all over, but I am getting over the coughing and the head full of snot.
• Ashton’s fever cleared up at the same time as mine did, and he is coughing and snotty just like me.  Poor Kaiden has been home fighting the fever and body aches all week.  If her fever does not clear up by tonight, I will be taking her to the doctors in the morning.
• I have been craving macaroni and cheese for days.  The crappy, watered down Kraft macaroni and cheese.  Why in the hell am I craving this?
• I really need to get out and get running, so I need this illness to be done.
• While I was at my sickest, with a fever of 103 and coughing my ass off, I seriously was coughing so hard that I kept peeing myself.  Thank god I own a ton of pajama pants.  Also, thank god I have Todd to teach my children to make fun of me while I am down with coughing sounds, then peeing sounds.  Jerks.
• I want to see Paul Blart: Mall Cop.  That movie looks really funny to me.
• There are only two weeks left until moving day.  I am excited and now starting to feel a little stressed about it too.  I just want it to be over with and have everything unpacked and put away.  I cannot stand chaos.
• My co-worker forwarded me this article yesterday.  It’s pretty sad.
• I will be spending this weekend coughing and packing, packing and coughing.

• Thank you to everyone that left me sweet comments on the posts about my Uncle John.  It is really hard to convey to people what kind of a man he was and how important he was in my family’s lives - I feel like any words I choose do not do justice to just how great a person he was.  He was a pretty constant person in my life up until I was about 9 or 10 and then after that and because of living on separate coasts, we saw him at least every year, sometimes more and he and his wife Sue never forgot a birthday or Christmas.  I am so upset that he died and especially the manner that he died, but I am really upset for my Aunt Sue.  Her and John had the type of marriage that everyone dreams of - they truly were best friends.  They had been married 31 years and had two amazing kids.  He worked hard his whole life to get to retirement so that they could have that time together and now they have been robbed of that.  Every time I think about Sue, I start to cry because I just feel so horrible for her.  With all the horrible people in this world, it really just seems so unfair that someone so wonderful was taken - I just don’t understand and I am angry about it.  Above all, this has really made me think - A LOT.  You coast through life, taking stuff for granted, thinking that people will still be there tomorrow, when in reality - they may not.  I plan to remember that and make better changes in me to show people in my life that I am happy they are there.
• I found a place to live.  We found a three-bedroom condo in Dena’s neighborhood - which is great, because we already spend our summer days at the pool there and we will be in a neighborhood where we know people.  Plus, as excited as I am about the kids and I being on our own, I feel better knowing that one of my best friends is ten seconds away in case I may need her.  We move in the weekend of Valentine’s Day.  Which will also be the day that I am OFFICIALLY BROKE.  But that is okay, the kids and I really need this.
• I have GOT to get back to running.  Seriously.  I am supposed to run in another half marathon in March and I have not started training for it.  I plan to fix that this weekend and get started.
• I am wondering where the hell Friglet and Smizzo have been.  I am totally about to start a petition to force them to update their blogs.  I swear to god I will do it.
• Monica must be feeling better after her surgery last week, I have been texting back and forth a little bit with her, but got an email this morning asking if I had seen the new Palm Treo that is getting ready to be released to Sprint the Treo Pre - which means she must be sitting up and on the computer - a good sign.  And yes Monica - Hell yes I saw it and it is AWESOME!!!  I signed up to be on the notify list, not that I will be able to afford it when it comes out, but my birthday IS in February and people could get it for me… just sayin.
• I have canceled every single “extra” that I have right now like NetFlix, Audible, Tanning, Gym Memberships, Web Statistics, etc, so that I can afford to move in to the new place.  I am thinking I may have to give up getting my nails done too - this makes me sad.  But it will be worth it.
• I will have to start cooking for my kids again… every day.  I give them two months before they die of starvation.  They were great kids.  I’m going to miss the little bastards.
• I feel like I am getting sick.  My head is cloudy and I have a tickle in my throat.  I really do not like being sick, it makes smoking the meth a lot more painful.
• Warm or cold Virginia Beach?  PICK ONE!!!

• Christmas is one week away and I am nowhere near ready for it.  I still have presents to buy and have not wrapped a single thing.  I am starting to feel stressed about it.
• Tomorrow morning my sister flies in from Florida to pick up Kaiden, then turn around and get right back on a plane back down to Florida with her.  She is taking her to Disney, Sea World and all those other great parks for four days of quality aunt/niece time.  I have to have them at the airport at 5:00pm - this will be Kaiden’s first plane ride.  She is so excited she can hardly stand it.  I am excited for her and I cannot tell you how much I love my sister for doing this for her.  It seriously makes me tear up when I think about how great she is as a sister and an aunt.
• I finally got my Christmas cards out.  I hope that they get to everyone before Christmas.
• We got word from Santa today that Kaiden is on the nice list this year and <a data-cke-saved-href="http://family.go.com/santas-list/video/62010-mrscanlon/" href="http://family.go.com/santas-list/video/62010-mrscanlon/" title="Ashton's Video From Santa" target="_blank>Ashton is too</a>!  Although, there is still a week left, so that could change!</li> <li>My car needs rear brakes and a transmission fluid change - I am sure that will cost plenty of money that I do not have, so I will be putting that off as long as I can.</li> <li>I am glad tomorrow is Friday - so so glad.</li> <li><a data-cke-saved-href=" http:="" http://www.iloveyouman.com="" "="">This is the next movie that I want to see.  It has Paul Rudd AND Andy Samberg in it - OMG, you had me at Hello!

• For the last couple days, my children have thought that the word “nipples” is the best damn word in the English language. Ashton has always called them “nickels” but his older, wiser sister was kind enough to point out that the correct word is “nipples” and they then proceeded to squeeze it into as many sentences as they possibly could! It’s driving me f*cking nuts!
• I CANNOT wait to see this movie!!! OMG it looks so funny to me. Who is taking me to see it?
• I need a new purse. I am not going to get one right now, but I need one. The one I want is Coach #F11666 and looks like this. It will have to wait for now, but I do like looking at it! *swoon*
• You may have noticed that I have slacked on the amount of photos I have posted to Flickr lately. My Nikon D70 is giving me problems, which literally brings tears to my eyes. This camera has been an extension of my body since the day I got it!  Now, it locks up and will not take pictures. So you can add camera repair to the list of things that I need right now - OR - I could start saving up for the Nikon D200 or D300 - have not decided totally which one I would want. I feel worse than a college frat boy waking up hungover, with a sore ass in a Tijuana jail!!! FOR REAL!!!
• The kids will be starting swimming lessons through Swim America again this year. This will be Ashton’s first year and Kaiden’s second. I really liked the program last year, so we are going to do it again. They will start that next week.
• I am freaking tired today!!! REALLY REALLY TIRED!!!
• I got my Economic Stimulus check in the mail yesterday - what a freaking joke! It was for a cool $135.22. We owed taxes this year, big time, so our stimulus check (all $1800.00 of it) went towards paying off what we owed - BOO!
• Kaiden and I are both WAY overdue for haircuts AND I could use some new bras and panties. I’m just sayin…
